Leaves 3-foliolate; leaflets 2–5 × 0.7–2 cm, elliptic to elliptic-oblong, appressed pubescent beneath; petiole 1.5–3.5 cm long; stipules 2–3 mm long, linear-subulate.

Racemes 4–11 cm long, dense, c. 20–40-flowered, with the peduncle usually longer than the rhachis and often becoming bent over with age; bracts 4–6 mm long, attenuately linear-lanceolate, caducous; bracteoles on the upper part of the pedicel, 2 mm long, setaceous.
