Biogeografic region: Amazonia, Andean, Guiana Shield, Caribbean, Orinoquia, Pacific. Elevation range: 20–1800 m a.s.l. Endemic to Colombia. Colombian departments: Antioquia, Caquetá, Cauca, Cundinamarca, Huila, La Guajira, Magdalena, Meta, Tolima, Valle del Cauca, Vichada.
