Morphology General Habit
Differs from var. lurida in its stem, leaf petiole and rachis, inflorescence axis and calyx being densely spreading-pubescent to tomentose, and leaflet under-surface with irregular geniculate hairs.

Leaves unifoliolate or ± trifoliolate (always long-petioled); leaflets up to 12 mm broad.

Distribution
Known from the Flora Zambesiaca area only from the two collections cited, from steep grassy slopes; c.1300 m. Two similar collections are known from South Africa (Mpumalanga and Gauteng Provinces).
