Tree 20–25 m. high, with an open crown; branchlets shortly hairy, later glabrescent (as are the petioles and leaf-rhachides).

Rhachis of leaf (together with petiole) 3–6 cm. long; leaflets alternate to subopposite or opposite, 16–26, oblong, lanceolate, ovate-oblong or ovate-lanceolate, 1–1.5 cm. long, 4–6 mm. wide, obtuse and often slightly emarginate at apex, glabrous and reticulate on both surfaces.
