Leaves 5–7-foliolate, some of the upper ones 1–3-foliolate; stipules triangular, up to 5 mm. long and 1.2 mm. wide; rhachis up to 3.5 cm. long, including a petiole of 2–4 mm., not, or by only 1–2 mm., prolonged beyond lateral leaflets; leaflets elliptic- or linear-oblong, up to 55 mm. long and 9 mm. wide, acute, rounded or retuse at the apex, glabrous above.

Flowers pale mauve in shortly pedunculate moderately dense terminal and axillary pseudoracemes, a few also in the axils of the upper reduced leaves; bracts narrowly triangular, up to 7 mm. long and 1 mm. wide; pedicels up to 4 mm. long.
