Tree up to 30 m. high, with smooth, grey to greyish-green and brown bark.

Leaf-rhachis with a sessile ± depressed-hemispherical gland between each pinna-pair; glands also present between leaflet-pairs; pinnae 1–2 pairs; leaflets (1–)2–3 pairs, obovate to elliptic, 0.8–7 cm. long, 0.5–3.9 cm. wide (on saplings to 11 × 5.8 cm.), rounded or emarginate at apex.
