Note
First record for Somalia (S of Laasqoray, along the road to the Geldora Pass at 11°03’N, 48°16’E). I. deflersii has previously been known only from the type, Deflers 384 (Z holo.), a young plant without fruits from Hadramaut (see Thulin in Opera Bot. 68: 95, 1983). New complete material from the type locality (Thulin & al. 7882) supports the view that this is a distinct species related to I. spiniflora Boiss. The above collection from Somalia is obviously conspecific.
