The native range of this hybrid is S. Tropical & S. Africa. It is a tree and grows primarily in the seasonally dry tropical biome. The hybrid formula is E. latissima × E. lysistemon.

Small tree; bole erect, soon branching; bark purplish, smoothly striate.
