Morphology Reproductive morphology Inflorescences
Racemes axillary, condensed, umbel-like; rhachis scarcely 1 cm. long; peduncle 4–20 cm. long, slightly swollen at the apex, sparsely pilose at the base, more densely so at the apex; pedicels 2–4 mm. long; bracts deciduous, 6 mm. long, 3 mm. wide; bracteoles persistent, 1·5–5 mm. long, 0·5–1 mm. wide.
Morphology Reproductive morphology Flowers Calyx
Calyx frequently flushed very dark blackish-purple; tube 3 mm. long, practically glabrous; lobes deltoid, 1·5–3·2 mm. long, ciliate along the margins, the upper pair joined to form a slightly bifid lobe.
Morphology Reproductive morphology Flowers Corolla
Standard basically green, yellow at the base, lilac-mauve at the apex, dusky outside and with deeper purple lines inside at the junction of purple and yellow parts, round or oblate, ± 9 mm. long and wide; wings greenish-yellow, magenta at the apex, lilac-mauve at the base; keel greenish-yellow.
Morphology Reproductive morphology Fruits
Pods linear-oblong, 2·5–3·5 cm. long, 4·5–5 mm. wide, pubescent.
