Morphology General Habit
Prostrate or twining herb 30–60 cm long, from a narrow tuber c. 25 cm long.

Leaves 3-foliolate; terminal leaflet 1.8–4.3 × 0.45–1.7 cm, oblong-lanceolate, rounded and ± mucronate at the apex, broadly cuneate to rounded at the base, unlobed or slightly lobed towards the base or distinctly 3-lobed and ± hastate; lateral leaflets 1.6–3.6 × 0.8–2.2 cm long, semihastate, very distinctly lobed on outer edge, sometimes all the leaflets are ovate-lanceolate to ovate and quite unlobed, shortly appressed pilose on both surfaces; petioles 5–30 mm long; stipules 2.5–3.5 × 1.5–2.5 mm, narrowly ovate to ovate-lanceolate, ribbed.
