Leaflets 3, 1.7–3.7 × 1.2–3 cm, ovate, the laterals slightly oblique, acute at the apex, rounded, truncate or faintly cordate at the base, discolorous, dark on upper surface and with white pubescence, grey-white beneath and densely velvety with tangled white hairs, 3-nerved from the base to just over halfway; venation ± impressed above, raised and reticulate beneath; petiole 4–16 mm long; rhachis 5–10 mm long; stipules c. 2 mm long, oblong, very early deciduous.
